Coming This Summer: Scoop Friday

I’m excited to announce my new seasonal food-reviewing series: Scoop Friday! From the first week of June through the last week of September, I’ll be reviewing different parlors and flavors on a biweekly basis (I gotta keep it tight for the ladies!) in hope of discovering the definitive destination for a scoop of ice cream. In a similar manner to my soup reviews, I’ll showcase my opinions on the frozen treat, unique details about the setting I order it at, and any other random musings that cross my mind while eating. As a long-time avid enjoyer of ice cream, even during the winter, I believe my fervent tastebuds have the experience necessary to properly access the dessert with each lick.

This year, I’ll probably avoid ice cream served in a box or carton, but there might be an exception if needed every now and then. Additionally, I’ll primarily review cream-based and cream-adjacent options, so for instance, you won’t see Rita’s Italian Ice, but you could see their Gelati. I can’t wait to get started writing on this series and all the delectable cones that come with it!
